Natural gas investments are showing positive signs for investors looking to take advantage of unusually high cooling demands during some parts of the country. Supplies recently announced, were up as expected, but the recent surge in demand has some analysts saying the potential is there for natural gas prices to rise through the summer, and then the natural rise heading into winter.
Natural gas spot prices have climbed more than 10% since last week.
Natural gas futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the natural gas futures contract for May delivery rose in each trading session this week, gaining $1.384 per MMBtu to close at $8.192 per MMBtu yesterday (April 19).
